In order for a manufacturer or vendor to be accepted by major retailers as an official “Trading Partner,” it’s imperative that the manufacturer or vendor has the ability to send information electronically in an approved format to the retailer. This may sound like a simple process, but, in actuality, there is no standardized acceptable format, and different retailers require manufacturer or vendor data to be submitted in different formats.
